In the 1860s Broxburn sat at the heart of Scotland's shale oil boom, a West Lothian industry that lit lamps across the Empire before vanishing almost without trace, leaving only the red bings on the horizon. This box carries that ghost trade forward, with a vintage-style Broxburn Oil Co. mark printed in full colour on sustainably sourced pine.

Each box is made by hand in our family's workshop in Central Java, by craftspeople we know by name. The grain, the printed label and the small tool marks are the point. The XS size is right for keys, jewellery and trinkets: small enough for a windowsill, handsome enough for a mantelpiece.
