It is said that Hennow Hares were once kept in country homes as good-luck charms, watching over the household and bringing a little calm and good fortune to all who lived there. Ours is a lovingly made reproduction of that timeless design.

Each hare is hand-carved from Indonesian sengon wood — a pale, lightweight timber long favoured by Balinese craftspeople — then individually hand-painted and given a gently aged finish. The limbs move freely, just like an original Hennow Hare, so you can pose it however you like, and at 68cm tall it makes a striking decorative piece for any room — shelf, mantel or hallway.
