For two centuries wool was Scotland's quiet empire: Borders mills, herringbone and tweed, and merchants' names painted proudly above Edinburgh shopfronts. Our Edinburgh Wool Co. mark borrows from that tradition, hand-stencilled onto sustainably sourced pine.

Each box is made by hand in our family's workshop in Central Java, by craftspeople we know by name. The grain, the stencil edges and the small tool marks are the point. The XS size is right for keys, jewellery and trinkets: small enough for a windowsill, handsome enough for a mantelpiece.
